A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

My goal as a Home Inspector is to provide home buyers with Peace of Mind by providing them with a thorough unbiased Home Inspection Report.  Also to build long-term relationships with my former (future) Clients, as well as Sales Agents who I have worked with before. To establish long-term relationships with people through trust, honesty, personable quality services and professionalism can be financially and emotionally rewarding for both the client and me. I consider myself a very dedicated individual who takes true interest in helping today's homebuyer or seller in making an informed decision about such a large investment.

As with many Service Oriented Professions, once you see the sales agent, home inspector, plumber, electrician, etc, and the transaction is done and over with, their gone. Usually to never be seen again. Although I may not inspect another house of yours, at least in the near future, I would like my former clients to know they can always call upon me in the event they have a question about their new home. My services do not stop after the inspection is over with.

In the big picture, the sale of a house goes relatively quickly, but the long-term care of it is always ongoing. Down the road, you may or may not have questions about certain elements of the house. If you do, you can certainly call me and ask. If for some reason I am unable to answer the question(s), I will research the matter and find what it is you are looking for. As a Home Inspector, I have many resources to call upon

Over the years, and through continuing education, I have acquired a substantial amount of knowledge concerning home building, construction sites, construction techniques and components. It started with first hand experience, when I helped my father build a 2,500 sq.ft. Ranch Style house during high school. That experience enhanced my education in many ways. I guess you could say it kick-started my passion for how homes are put together and what makes them work as a system.

After high school, I joined the United States Navy. During my 24 years in the military, I received five Navy Achievement Awards for outstanding performances. I held numerous job positions such as Electrical Division Supervisor, Electrical Planner and Estimator, Shipboard Cableway Inspection Team Leader, Environmental and Safety Officer, Facilities Manager, Hazardous Material Manager, Supervisor on various Pre and Post-Construction of Government Buildings. I ensured that all Military Specifications and Punch List items were met and completed during the construction phase. I am fortunate enough to say I have spent 24 years of my life in one of the most honorable organizations around, and then retire as a Chief Petty Officer.

After retiring from the service, I went on to work in the telecommunications industry as a Central Office Switch / Field Technician for four years. With the telecommunications job market being so unstable, job insecurity, coupled with grueling shift work, this inspired me to make a career change. After seeking a close friend's advice, and he pointing out that I had the knack for customer service and doing any job I undertake to the best of my ability, I decided to make a move to the Home Inspection Business. Once I decided to pursue a home inspection career, I studied while still working full-time at Allegiance Telecom until my home inspection course was complete. It posed somewhat of a challenge, but in the end, it was well worth it. I've been at it ever since then.

Thorough:
I will never forget how important the purchase is to my clients and their future. On the day of inspection, your new home is just as important to me, as it is to you, and has my complete focus. I do this by limiting myself to one inspection a day. If the home or my clients' concerns require more time than usual, I will stay long as necessary. I am in no hurry to run off to the next inspection. It also means that I try to test or inspect every accessible fixture or component possible.

Thorough also means that I have the background, training, experience, knowledge and intelligence to interpret what I am looking at. No home inspector knows it all, and I continue my education and research almost on a daily basis. I come equipped with a tool bag full of the latest and best inspection equipment, a fine eye for detail and, most significantly, the integrity to conduct nothing less than a thorough inspection.

Honest:
Basically speaking, I tell it and report it, as it is. I put 100% of my effort into home inspections in order to provide you with an unbiased report. I will not sugar-coat a discrepancy in order to hide it from my clients.

Dedicated:
I am a dedicated Home Inspector who's associated with the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI), and the International Code Council (ICC).
  • NACHI requires all members to pass their comprehensive Entrance Examination, complete annual Continuing Education criteria, and are tested in Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
  • ICC is dedicated to protecting the Health, Safety, and Welfare of people by creating better buildings and safer communities. I'm a proud member of both organizations.

I offer an uncommon depth of thoroughness and professionalism. I welcome your questions and ask for the opportunity to earn your business by performing Your Home Inspection.

I BELIEVE IN DOING A PROFESSIONAL JOB, AND GIVING THE CUSTOMER WHAT THEY DESERVE, ... AN HONEST AND THOROUGH HOME INSPECTION.
