Have service contract(s), manuals and warranties ready (if available).
Replace dead batteries in smoke detectors and/or CO detectors.
Repair or replace faulty hardware on doors and windows.
Recaulk around bathtubs, bathroom / kitchen sinks.
Have furnace or other major appliances serviced.
Repair / replace faulty switches and receptacles.
Loosen any windows that are painted shut.
Replace damaged baseboard or molding.
Ensure all exhaust fans are operational.

Regrout tub and shower enclosures.
